do not go fearful

Do not go fearful into that good need,

Old rage can burn only as on a pyre;

Love, love being true as defined by deed.

Though strongest men in doubt can weakness breed,

Because in health and sickness thoughts conspire

Do not go fearful into that good need.

Good men, long gone who sowed the best of seed

Though driven by the worst of their desire,

Love, love being true as defined by deed.

Wild men ignoring all sure reason’s heed,

Faint hearts leaping boldly to inspire,

Do not go fearful into that good need.

Grave men, alone in their certainty lead

When all proof yet labels them a liar,

Love, love being true as defined by deed.
